Against Me! is one of my favorite bands, not just because their music is powerful and makes me get up and move, but also the seeming simplicity it has. Such songs as The Disco Before The Breakdown and Reinventing Axl Rose have so much infectious energy that you can’t help but sing along. They end up stuck in my head long after listening.
If a punk band can play their songs acoustically, and still retain that sense of enrgy and power, then they are amazing. And that is exactly what Against Me! does. I recommend you get their Acoustic EP just so you can hear the raw power that an acoustic guitar can have.
